Owned by Knappside Stud, in Wiltshire since a foal, Pickle was shown lightly pre being broken to ride, and starting his stud work. His compact confirmation, balanced paces and kind temperament have made him a popular choice of pony owners, but in more recent times, sport horse owners have chosen to use him to add bone and a more trainable attitude. Whilst being a traditional cob, with good quality feather, his offspring from finer breeds have had minimal feather, but have benefited from good hoof quality.
